Athlone Animal Welfare (AAW) is a voluntary non profit organisation based in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Our goal is to prevent the neglect and mistreatment of animals, encourage responsible pet

athlone animal welfareownership and raise awareness on key animal welfare issues.

AAW believes that education is the key to preventing many of the animal welfare issues arising in Ireland and so one of our main activities is the development and delivery of educational programmes to schools in the locality.

As funds permit, AAW also provide for the vaccination & rehoming of cats and kittens; trap, release & neuter schemes for healthy feral cats; and promotional campaigns for the neutering and spaying of pets.
